Anxiety and depression, as well as life transitions can cause you to feel alone in your journey. Life can be stressful, overwhelming and difficult at times and it takes a lot of courage and strength to take the initial steps to seek help. As a counselor, I would like to welcome the opportunity to work with you in making the changes. I will provide guidance in a nonjudgemental and a safe environment where you can feel empowered to find clarity and self-awareness to make the needed and wanted changes.

I typically work with adults. I specialize in anxiety and depression and trauma. I utilize a holistic approach basing treatment on the client’s preferences and personal goals.

I believe that we all need someone to talk with who won’t judge us and will really listen and accept us. I provide my clients with a warm, safe environment to explore the issues that may be preventing a person from living the life they want. I look forward to working with you.

No matter where you find yourself in life, or what has led you to seek counseling, I believe that every individual possesses a unique and valuable story that deserves to be heard and understood. My commitment as a counselor is to provide a nurturing and nonjudgmental space for my clients to be their most authentic self. I view healing as a continuous and transformative journey, and I consider it a privilege to offer guidance and support to those navigating their own pathways to well-being.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 18 years of experience working in both in-patient and out-patient settings in the Memphis area. I earned my Master’s degree in Community Agency Counseling from the University of Memphis in 2008 and have been licensed since 2012. I am also certified in Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I specialize in working with adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, relationship conflicts, and trauma.

In my free time I enjoy reading, spending time with my family, and exploring new cities. I am a proud mother of two boys and two rescue pups. I’m also a budding plant enthusiast!

Making the decision to start counseling can feel like a big step, especially during times of change or uncertainty. I work primarily with adults and aim to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and truly heard. My approach is collaborative and paced around you—there’s no pressure to have it all figured out. I believe that real, lasting change begins with a strong therapeutic relationship, and I value taking the time to build trust so you can show up just as you are.

Before becoming a counselor, I spent 20 years in the corporate IT world, and I understand how overwhelming life transitions and reinvention can feel. That experience allows me to meet you with both empathy and practical understanding as you navigate your own path.

Outside of the counseling room, I enjoy playing guitar, watching sports, and grilling or smoking meat. I also value slowing down with a good book or documentary.

Being a teenager can be hard. Between friendships, family, school, emotions, and figuring out who you are, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed or misunderstood. My goal is to create a welcoming, judgment-free space where teens can feel safe being themselves, feel heard, and learn that they don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and client-centered. I believe therapy should feel like a partnership, and we’ll work together at a pace that feels comfortable. I enjoy using games, art, and creative activities to help teens express themselves in ways that feel natural and engaging.

I have experience working with trauma, depression, bullying, behavioral concerns, anger, self-confidence, family challenges, and more. Most importantly, I want my clients to feel accepted, understood, and empowered to become the best version of themselves.

Outside of counseling, I enjoy reading, word games and Sudoku, cooking, and spending time with my family.
